Inaugural Fundraising Event
In July 2018, Solerico held its first ever fundraising event in Hong Kong - a sold out pub quiz that was attended by more than 100 people. The event included a silent auction and a presentation about Solerico by Cait and Jack. We raised just over HKD 100,000 for the Nepal Clean Irrigation Initiative.
Beach Clean Ups
In September 2019, Solerìco hosted a fantastic beach clean-up at Sam Pak Wan, notorious for being one of Hong Kong's dirtiest beaches. We had a great group of 16 volunteers attend and we ended up filling 16 large bags full of plastic trash which were picked up by the Environmental Protection Department. HKD 8,000 was raised for the Himalayan Plastics Project.
In June 2020, Solerìco hosted a second beach clean-up at Sam Pak Wan. 20 volunteers cleaned up a very dirty beach covered in plastic and other waste. Again we raised roughly HKD 8,000 towards the Himalayan Plastics Project.
